Emanuele Giaccherini will seek a move from Sunderland if they are relegated this season.

The former Juventus winger has battled through two injury-plagued seasons with the Black Cats and is currently recovering from a knee setback.

Calciomercato.com says Giaccherini did field contact from Napoli in January and would be open to such a move this summer.

The midfielder doesn't regret moving to England, but won't consider playing in the Championship next season.

Giaccherini's deal runs to 2017.
