Sunderland are closing in on Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung Yueng.
The Daily Mail says Ki is expected to join Sunderland on loan this weekend.
The Korean, who has fallen out of favour under Michael Laudrup, is understood to have told his team-mates on Friday that he is heading to the Stadium of Light until the end of the season.
Ki has tumbled down the midfield pecking order this summer after the arrivals of Jose Canas, Jonjo Shelvey and Jonathan de Guzman, who re-signed on loan.
