Sunderland are putting together a deal for Al Hilal defender Kader Mangane.

The Daily Mail says the Black Cats are also trying to put together a loan deal for Senegal international Mangane.

The 29-year-old central defender, who was considered by West Ham and Arsenal last summer, is with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Sunderland hope to sign him on loan until the end of the season, with a possible permanent deal for £2million in the summer.
