Sunderland want to bring Albert Riera back to England.

The former Manchester City and Liverpool winger is currently playing in Turkey with Galatasaray.

Any deal could prove difficult as the Spaniard is paid £115,000 a week at Galatasaray, but the Turkish side want to re-shape their squad and may be willing to let Riera go to help moves for other targets such as Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov.
