Sunderland are interested in FC Zurich fullback Loris Benito.
The 21 year-old left-back is under consideration at Sunderland as manager Paolo di Canio seeks a new fullback signing.
Benito is a Switzerland U21 international and Italian sources say Sunderland have made a €4.5 million offer for his transfer.
The youngster was famously bitten on the finger by a beech marten he had caught after it invaded the pitch against FC Thun late, last season.
