Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce is interested in signing West Ham United striker Andy Carroll, reports Goal.com.
Allardyce has previously managed Carroll at Newcastle United and West Ham and he wants to bring the towering centre-forward to the Stadium of Light to help the club in their fight against relegation.
Goal understands that a bid of £8m bid from Sunderland would be enough to convince the Hammers to sell their player in January.
