Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is planning a raid on former club Brighton.
The Mirror says Poyet is chasing Scotland international midfielder Liam Bridcutt.
The Uruguayan is expected to sell Craig Gardner, David Vaughan and Jack Colback in January.
