Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is chasing Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.
The Mirror says O'Neill wants Zamora at Sunderland, as Fulham close in on the striker's replacement.
O'Neill is a big admirer of the 30-year-old England international and believes he can get him for a cut-price fee, with his Cottagers counterpart Martin Jol is in renewed talks for Catania hitman Maxi Lopez.
That on-off transfer looked to be foundering last week when the Italian club demanded £10million when Fulham were prepared to pay just £6m.
