Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill admits transfer rumours have unsettled Stephane Sessegnon.

The Benin international has been a shadow of himself this term but was back to his best at Everton last weekend.

O'Neill said: "He was somewhat sidetracked by being touted around major clubs. A move didn't happen and there was disappointment, but he's come back, signed a contract and wants to prove himself again.

"His family are now with him and I think he's settling down."
