Sunderland and Stoke in frame for Man Utd keeper

Sunderland and Stoke are each considering a move for goalkeeper Ben Foster, whose time is up at Manchester United, claims the Daily Mail. Premier League clubs have been alerted that the 26-year-old England World Cup hopeful - now third choice at Old Trafford behind Edwin van der Sar and Tomasz Kuszczak - is available for £4million.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is keen even though his Scotland No1 Craig Gordon is returning from a shoulder injury while Stoke know all about their old boy Foster, whom they sold to United for £1m.
