Suarez creates havoc wherever he plays - Liverpool's Rodgers

Luis Suarez was again the subject of high praise from Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers after today's showing in the 3-2 home win over Tottenham.

The former Ajax superstar opened the scoring for the Reds with his 22nd league goal of the campaign as the Merseysiders moved sixth on the table with Stewart Downing and a late Steven Gerrard penalty giving them all three points following Jan Vertonghen's brace.

After the match, Rodgers insisted that Suarez can play any role in the attacking third and said the faith that has been invested in him has paid off tenfold.

"Football is worldwide now so everyone has seen how good he is," Rodgers said.

"But he is very happy among his mates here and you have seen today it doesn't matter where he plays - he was in the number 10 role and then he went in from the side he still created havoc.

"He knows the trust I put in him and that gives him the platform to go and perform."
