Stuttgart veteran Camoranesi: I owe Juventus so much

Stuttgart midfielder Mauro Camoranesi has paid tribute to former club Juventus.

The 34-year-old left the Bianconeri this summer as part of a summer clearout under the new regime.

Camoranesi told Tuttosport: "I left proud. It's a great honour to be part of Juventus' history as they are one of the most important clubs in the world.

"Like I have always said, I am very grateful for the eight years that I spent in Turin. Just speaking or thinking about it gives me goose pimples.

"I will never stop thanking the club for that fantastic period and I really hope with all my heart that the team gets back to the top very soon and above all gets back to winning because this hasn't happened for too many years.

"I believe that Del Neri is doing a good job and the results, which are the most important thing in the world of football, are proving him right.

"Juve have signed good players like Quagliarella, Krasic and Aquilani who in my opinion will be the real revelation of this season.

"The ex-Romanista has a lot of desire to redeem himself after a horrible year because of injuries at Liverpool."
