VfB Stuttgart are chasing Manchester City midfielder Abdi Ibrahim.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini has told Ibrahim, currently on-loan at Stromsgodset, he is free to find a new club in January.

The midfielder has been likened to City ace Yaya Toure and Pellegrini's decision has sparked a scramble for his services.

Stuttgart are among clubs keen on Ibrahim as they see the youngster as a replacement for unsettled midfield ace William Kvist.
