Daniel Sturridge signed a new contract with Liverpool on Friday in what is a massive boost for the out-of-form club.
The 25-year old striker has penned a deal which will keep him at Anfield until the summer of 2019 and he was thrilled to be given the opportunity to commit himself to the Merseyside outfit.
"It feels great. It's a big, big day in my life to commit to this club and to give the club my best years, which are ahead of me," he told the club's official website.
"I am thankful for the opportunity and that is the reason I committed my future. Everyone has been great with me, from the fans to the staff to the players, so it was an easy decision. I'm happy with how everything is going."
Sturridge joined the Reds from Chelsea for £12million in January 2013 and has so far scored 36 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions.
