AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman is pleased with his recovery from knee surgery.

The setback ended Strootman's season and his World Cup hopes with Holland.

"Every day I feel a little better. I'm working hard in the gym and the knee is doing well," Strootman told Roma Channel.

"My teammates were happy to see me and said they'll wait for me. I thank everyone for their support, including the medical staff, the Coach and all the Roma fans."
