Stringara: Juventus midfielder Bernardeschi NOT a top player; Eriksen at Inter Milan?

Former Bologna and Inter Milan midfielder Paolo Stringara has declared Federico Bernardeschi as overrated.

The Italy midfielder has battled to nail down a consistent start with Juventus ever since his arrival from Fiorentina.

For Stringara, Bernardeschi simply isn't as good as many believe.

He told TMW, “He has never been a protagonist in Juventus. He has always been a wide player, who certainly has his usefulness in the team, but he is not a champion or a top player."

Stringara also commented on Christian Eriksen's struggles under Antonio Conte at Inter Milan.

He added: "Every time we always talk about Eriksen, but if you are asked about the player, as an Inter coach you have to answer them. It may well be that he did not adapt to Italian football compared to English, where he did very well. It is also true, however, that he was not helped so much by his coach. He didn't have confidence, but a lot also depended on the fact that on the pitch he never really convinced."
