FC Basel striker Marco Streller has rejected the opportunity to sign for Fulham, reports the Daily Mail. The 28-year-old former Cologne and Stuttgart star caught the eye with 16 goals in 26 games this season but, according to Swiss newspaper Basler Zeitung, is keen to stay in his homeland.
The Switzerland international said: "I myself have decided very quickly not to switch to Fulham. And FC Basel has also expressed very quickly that they do not want me to go. We have a great team, a coach who can play attacking football."
