Stoke winger Assaidi hoping to make it at Liverpool

Stoke City winger Oussama Assaidi is determined to prove his value while on-loan from Liverpool.

Assaidi believes he can still make it at Anfield, despite failing to hold down a first-team spot last term.

"It was a frustrating season at Liverpool last year," he told The Sentinel. "I played in the Europa League, and no-one can say I didn't do well, but I don't think I really got a fair run in the team.

"Now I'm here and I feel I've played very well so far. In the beginning it was hard because I hadn't played for a long time. I needed match time, and I will get better and better.

"I am here for a year, and after that I have two more years on my contract at Liverpool.

"I want to go back. I enjoy it there. It's a very big club.

"I played and trained with some of the best players in the world. But I want them to want me back. If not, we will see what happens.

"Everyone wants to play at the highest level and if you are playing for Liverpool you want to stay. But a year is a long time, and I want to show Stoke my quality."
