Stoke City are thrashing out terms with Slovakia's Banská Bystrica for young defender Dionatan Teixeira.

Dionatan had trials with Stoke last week and did enough to convince Potters boss Mark Hughes to push for a deal.

Stoke hope to sign the 21 year-old Brazilian for around £450,000.

Five years ago, Dionatan went on trial with a number of English teams inducing Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United and Manchester City.

The youngster spent time with Reading in January.
