Stoke City striker Jonathan Walters has hailed the recent form of Marc Wilson.
Wilson has been a mainstay at centre-back since a 0-0 draw with Cardiff at the Brit in December, after Robert Huth was sidelined with knee ligament damage.
Walters told The Sentinel: "Big questions were asked of him when Robert Huth was injured. He'd played a few games for Ireland in that position just before Huthy got injured and he's fitted in very nicely.
"He's such a versatile player, he can probably pick any number of positions to play in. He's done excellently this year.
"They're massive shoes to fill when Huthy's out, and he's done really well.
"He's very good with the ball at his feet and he's a dirty little ... person when he wants to be as well!"
