Stoke striker Guidetti denies seeking to insult Hughes

Stoke City striker John Guidetti denies he's sought to insult manager Mark Hughes during interviews in his native Sweden.

The 21 year-old Swede admits he betrayed some frustration to the Swedish media after he was left on the bench during the FA Cup defeat at Chelsea.

But he told The Sentinel: "It was straight after we lost a game and I am a very bad loser.

"I was angry at the time because I hate losing football matches."

Guidetti, who joined on loan from Manchester City in early January, says he has the utmost respect for Hughes.

"He knows what he is doing, otherwise I would be manager," he joked.

"There is no frustration for me. Every day that goes gives me more time to get better and hopefully makes me more prepared for the chance."
