Stoke set to go after Midtjylland keeper Haugaard

Stoke City are reportedly planning a swoop for Midtjylland keeper Jakob Haugaard.

With Thomas Sorensen set to retire at the end of the season and with Asmir Begovic's future in doubt, it is looking very likely that Stoke need to sign a new goalkeeper next season.

As a result, a couple of names have been touted to make a move to the Britannia Stadium during the past few weeks and now according to reports emerging out of England, it has been claimed that manager Mark Hughes is planning a swoop for Haugaard.

23-year old Danish gloveman Haugaard has starred in Midtjylland's fine campaign this term and it is believed that Stoke will be able to land the goalkeeper for a meager fee of around only £600,000.
