Stoke City are closing in on a deal for VVV Venlo striker Michael Uchebo.

The 21-year-old Nigerian forward, who plays for Dutch club VVV-Venlo, is due at the Britannia Stadium for talks on Sunday, says the Daily Mail.

Uchebo, who is 6ft 5ins tall, has been cleared to spend a few days on trial with boss Tony Pulis and his squad.

Previous concerns about obtaining a work permit have diminished and Uchebo is likely to cost in the region of £1million.
