Stoke's Huth doesn't feel Germany chances have been hindered by Premier League

Stoke City defender Robert Huth is not of the belief that playing in the Premier League has hurt his German national team chances.

The 27-year old centre-back has not played for Die Mannschaft since 2009 and was not too bothered when left out of the Euro2012 squad by Joachim Low but has made it clear that playing in England has done nothing to deny him a spot on the roster.

"The only reason is that Low likes other players, of whom he thinks they would be more helpful for him," Huth said.

"It doesn't matter of you play in England, Spain or anywhere else. He has his type of players, with whom he also has success. That I'm here has never played a role.

"I didn't see any chance at all. I haven't been part of the squad for three years."
