Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has admitted he was tempted when Queens Park Rangers tried to sign him last month, but is more than happy to remain with the Potters. QPR boss Harry Redknapp had been keen to recruit the striker for the fifth time in his career, having previously worked with him at Southampton, Tottenham and in two different spells with Portsmouth.
Speaking about Redknapp, Crouch told Sky Sports News: "Everyone knows that I have got a good relationship with him.
"I think he is a fantastic manager and QPR are a club that are very close to my heart.
"That is where I grew up really and where my family are, but it didn't materialise and I am very happy to be at Stoke."
