Stoke City have offered Birmingham City two loan players as part of Jack Butland's deal.
Butland has been loaned back to Lee Clark for the remainder of this season but is expected to become Stoke's regular keeper in August.
The deal with Stoke has been weighted with a sufficiently large down-payment that will enable Birmingham to see out the season without the spectre of administration hanging over the club, says the Daily Mail.
Brum boss Lee Clark was also offered two loan players as part of the deal, understood to be former Rangers' left-back Jamie Ness and striker Mamady Sidibe.
