Stoke City plan to offer new terms to Peter Odemwingie.
The 34-year-old winger is back in light training at the club after previously shutting himself away to cope with the psychological blow of suffering his cruciate knee ligament injury at Manchester City back on August 30.
Potters boss Mark Hughes has thrown the stricken winger some seasonal comfort and joy by revealing: "There's something in place, I think, so we will have discussions nearer the time.
"We'd like to think he would get back before the end of the season. He might not make it, but even so he's working exceptionally hard to make it.
"He knows he has to work really hard. With that injury you need to do the work now so that he won't be compromised when he comes back."
