Stoke City midfielder Jamie Ness is hoping to make a big impact on-loan with Crewe Alexandra.

Ness was outstanding for Crewe's 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers.

"I think it's been a while coming," Ness said of the Doncaster performance.

"This season has been a bit stop start with a couple of injuries but I felt last Saturday that it was my best performance.

"It's not gone as well as I would have liked (the loan spell), especially at the start picking up a couple of injuries which is the worst thing that can happen when you got out on loan.

"I have worked hard to get back in the team, I'm getting my confidence back and now I want to go out there and show people what I can really do."
