Stoke keeper Sorensen joining Melbourne City

Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is on his way to Australia.

Danish media sources say the veteran keeper is joining Melbourne City for the new A-League season.

Ekstra Bladet says Sorensen will join Melbourne once he completes his charity work in the US. The Dane will be cycling 6,000 kilometers to raise money for KidsAid.

It's understood he will join Melbourne for preseason in order to prove his fitness before signing a one-year deal.

Melbourne City are owned by Manchester City and are partners with MLS franchise New York City FC.
