Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is hopeful of making Denmark's World Cup squad as he continues his recovery from a dislocated elbow.
The 33-year old sustained the injury in the Potters' 7-0 loss to Chelsea late last month and it was initially feared that he would miss next month's World Cup but he is remaining positive after some good progress.
"The second scan shows really good progress and now I am really hopeful," he told The Sentinel.
"Obviously there is still a fair bit of bruising and ligament strain, but it is healing really well. The ligament is intact and looking really strong.
"We're now building it back up again and I've just had my first feel of the ball, which felt really good.
"Hopefully, in a couple of weeks and after a lot of hard work, I'll be close to full training.
"I've got five weeks until the first game, so there is plenty of time and no excuse to over-exercise and overdo it.
"I'm hoping to play in a friendly before the World Cup to assure myself and get into a game situation and get a feel of it before it all kicks off.
"We play a game against South Africa which will be in a packed stadium, so that will be a good test for us."
