Stoke and England keeper Jack Butland has done away with his crutches and is ready for a long summer of rehabilitation, reports Sky Sports.
Butland suffered a broken ankle while playing for England against Germany in March, an injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season and scuppered his chance of playing at Euro 2016.
Butland sent a series of Tweets: "On the way back from seeing the surgeon, walked in with crutches, walked out without them!
"Fracture healing really well! Happy boy!
"Just going to dust off my gloves and go and dive around in the garden, fit for the weekend!
"I'm kidding, that would be a miracle! This weekend and the Euros are still a no! But all focus now on being fully fit for pre-season."
