Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland is full of praise for English football's loan system.
The keeper recently joined Barnsley until January after failing to break through at Stoke.
"The Championship is a very tough, hard-fought league," he said.
"You probably get less time on the ball but it's a good way to set yourself up to go on and play in the Premier League.
"It might have surprised a few people for me to go to Barnsley but it means I am playing.
"I'm very thankful for going out on loan."
