Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic insists there's nothing sinister over new contract delays.

The Bosnian international will hit the summer with just 12 months left on his existing deal.

Begovic said: "We'll do the talking in the next couple of months going into the summer and then see where we are.

"I let my representatives and the club's hierarchy deal with most of these kinds of things and see if we can come to an agreement.

"I've obviously had a great time here. I'm enjoying myself, so let's see what we can do."
