Stoke hero Sidibe opens French patisserie in Hanley

Stoke City hero Mamady Sidibe is enterinig the food biz.

Sidibe has opened a new French patisserie in Hanley.

His new shop Melice opened for business after yesterday's official launch with Stoke boss Mark Hughes and former team-mates Andy Wilkinson, Carl Dickinson and Steven Nzonzi also on hand.

Sidibe told The Sentinel: "It is totally different to football and so we were a little worried about doing this because people in England are not used to patisseries.

"It is something we need to get people used to, but I am sure they will love the food.

"We have everything for a snack or lunch - sandwiches, cakes, crepes - and all kinds of drinks as well."
