Stoke City are ready to grant Wilson Palacios a free transfer.
The Telegraph says the Potters are prepared to let the midfielder leave without a fee in the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old has not featured at all for Mark Hughes's first team this season.
He has fallen well down the pecking order behind Glenn Whelan, Steven Nzonzi, Steve Sidwell, Geoff Cameron and Charlie Adam for any deeper central midfield role.
