Stoke City are stepping up interest in Panathinaikos striker Markus Berg.

The Potters are reportedly turning their attention to Berg after failing to lure Ivica Olic to England.

Berg said: "I've got healthy and being free of injury has obviously meant a lot.

"I have a trainer who really believes in me and I have grown older and calmer.

"I have built self-confidence, I believe in myself no matter what happens in individual matches."
