Stoke City fullback Erik Pieters is delighted with his Holland recall.

Pieters was surprised to be named in Guus Hiddink's squad this week.

The former PSV Eindhoven man was delighted to get the call, but admitted: "No, I never saw it coming.

"Friends made me note that I was in the provisional squad and then you hope you make the final cut.

"I'm happy and proud that I get to pull on an Netherlands shirt again."
