Brazilian-born defender Dionatan Teixeira is set to sign for Stoke City.
The Sentinel says Teixeira has impressed on trial in recent weeks and negotiations for a deal of around £400,000 are in full swing with his Slovakian club Dukla Banska Bystrica.
"I've liked what he has produced during his short time with us," said Potters boss Mark Hughes, "and that is one we are hoping to progress.
"He's a technically good player, but he's also young and will have plenty still to learn."
