Stoke City face competition for Burnley fullback Tyrone Mears.
The Potters have been linked with Mears ahead of the winter transfer window.
However, French media say Olympique Marseille are weighing up a new loan move for Mears after losing fullback Cesar Azpilicueta to serious injury.
The 27 year-old enjoyed a successful 12 months at Marseille two years ago while he was on the books of Derby County.
