Stoke City will not be signing Manchester City's Edin Dzeko this winter or anytime soon.
They are the sentiments of Potters boss Mark Hughes who insists the Staffordshire outfit will not be bringing the Bosnian striker to the Britannia Stadium despite reports suggesting otherwise.
"I can tell you straight - there would be interest if it was ever viable," said Hughes.
"But it is not one we could ever contemplate doing unfortunately."
Dzeko, who has been at City since 2011, has scored three goals in 18 appearances in all competitions for the reigning Premier League champions so far this season but has missed time because of a calf injury.
