Stoke defender Muniesa enjoyed being part of Chelsea win

Stoke City defender Marc Muniesa enjoyed being part of victory over Chelsea.

Muniesa played at left-back against Chelsea ace Juan Mata.

He told The Sentinel: "I spoke to Juan before and after the match. He's a very good player and he's very difficult to defend, but we came out on top in the end so I'm very happy.

"I have pretty much played three matches consecutively, so that's a good step. I have to continue working to get more minutes. It's important for my confidence and I'm taking it step by step.

"I prefer playing centre-back, but I don't have a problem playing on the left. I want to play and what the coach wants I'm happy to do.

"Robert Huth is very strong and with Ryan (Shawcross) we have good centre-backs. Robert is a big miss, but we have cover. Marc Wilson can play there, as well as me and Geoff Cameron. We've got a decent squad."
