Stoke defender Muniesa eager to rid himself of injury woes

Stoke City defender Marc Muniesa is eager to bid goodbye to his consistent injury problems.

The 23-year old Spanish defender has only managed 21 appearances this season after suffering serious hamstring, ankle and groin problems.

"I want to improve my appearance and injury record," said the former Barcelona player.

"I have to improve this and I will work with my body and my muscles to make sure first and foremost that I stay fit for the entire season.

"That is the first priority and then I can build on that and see what happens. I just want to play as much as I can with Stoke.

"I am speaking with the medical staff about how we can make it better and how I train. I always go 100 per cent every day and maybe some days I have to relax.

"We will see next season, but I am sure I will be better."
