Stoke City winger Ben Marshall could remain at the club according to chairman Peter Coates.
The 20-year old has hardly been used by the Potters since turning pro in 2009 and has been linked with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester City recently.
The Owls are keen to have Marshall back at Hillsborough permanently following his impressive five-month loan spell there whilst the Foxes are believed to be making a play for his services but Coates says he could still stay at the Britannia Stadium.
"We want to keep anyone who has come through our system and who we think can play in our first team.""We are still in talks, but these things take time. Ben has done very well at Sheffield Wednesday," he told The Sentinel.
