Stoke City chairman Peter Coates is confident Ryan Shawcross can handle their clash with Arsenal.
Shawcross can also anticipate plenty of headlines next week ahead of his first meeting with Arsenal since the unfortunate tackle which left Gunners midfielder Aaron Ramsey with a broken leg at the Britannia last February.
Ramsey is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, but the incident will not be forgotten in the build-up to next week's clash at The Emirates.
Coates is confident Shawcross will remain focused on the game itself, however, after being impressed with his response to events last February.
"He has got over it," the chairman told The Sentinel.
"He has overcome any difficulties presented to him and everyone has seen how well he has been doing for us."
