Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross retains hope of playing for England.
The Telegraph says Shawcross will resist the lure of playing for Wales and concentrate on forcing his way back into the England squad, despite another shattering snub from Roy Hodgson.
Shawcross is eligible to play for Wales as England's 4-2 defeat in Sweden was only a friendly, but he is only focused on winning his England spot back.
