Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen has been given the all-clear for Denmark's World Cup campaign.
Sorensen's hopes of playing in South Africa this summer appeared to be in the balance after he was stretchered off in the first half of Stoke's 7-0 humiliation by Chelsea yesterday afternoon.
Manager Tony Pulis warned that he could be sidelined long-term if an operation was needed.
But he later revealed that the Danish international was successfully treated in hospital and was able to travel back to the Midlands with the rest of the Stoke squad last night.
"If he had needed an operation," Pulis told The Sentinel, "he'd have struggled to make the World Cup.
"But there is some encouraging news in that it was put back without the need for that."
