Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is convinced of the quality Charlie Adam can add to their midfield.
Adam is yet to produce his best since his arrival from Liverpool.
But Pulis told Absolute Radio: "Well, you know, like I say we hope so, he's done smashing Charlie, and he gets on the ball, makes you play, and he'll slow the game down for you and keep the ball. What we need from Charlie a little bit more is that little bit more devilment in the final third, because we bought him and brought him in, because we knew he'd be a midfield player that can score goals.
"If we've lacked something, it's been like someone from the centre of midfield who can score three or four goals, or, sorry ten goals a season, and we're hoping, you know, Charlie can do that."
Pulis was speaking to Ian Wright of Absolute Radio Rock n' Roll Football. Saturday's from 5pm on 1215AM. For more, visit absoluteradio.co.uk/football
