Despite defeat to Bolton Wanderers, Stoke City boss Tony Pulis said he was pleased with the performances of new signings Thomas Sorensen, Seyi Olofinjana and Dave Kitson.

He said: "I thought Thomas was fine. He looked commanding and assured, he's a good goalkeeper. Olly did some smashing things in midfield, he has the quality.

"I thought Dave and Mama (Sidibe) linked up well. Dave showed some smashing touches as well and there were one or two situations that, if they had dropped, showed he will get goals for you."
