Stoke boss Pulis: N'Zonzi good enough for France

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is happy Steven N'Zonzi has rejected the chance to play for DR Congo at the African Nations Cup.

The 6ft 4ins midfielder, born in Paris, was approached after DR Congo coach Claude Le Roy watched him star for the Potters. But the 23-year-old, who has six French Under 21 caps and was once billed as the next Patrick Vieira, chose to delay a decision over his international future.

Pulis said: "Of course we are delighted that we won't lose him for a key part of the season, but in any case if he continues his progress I believe he could end up playing for France. He's that good."
