Stoke City boss Mark Hughes denies they've bid for Wolfsburg striker Ivica Olic.
But he stopped short of ruling out a move, possibly short-term, for the 34-year-old Croatia international.
"We are looking at a number of players," he stated, "but we have not made bids for anybody yet.
"A lot of discussions have been made and I'm not going to say `yes' or `no' to any name thrown at me.
"We are pursuing targets that will help us in the short and long term.
"We are trying to be flexible in our thinking, but more often than not these things are determined by agents and the clubs the players are at."
